2019+ Discontinued

This FAQ and domain are MAINLY preserved to prevent phishing and impersonation. The project first reached End-Of-Service in 2018, and discontinued permanently from 2019 and is not coming back.

Since late 2019, signing up has no longer been possible, and logins were discontinued shortly after. It is now almost 2026 — please do not ask to log in, reset your password, or withdraw balances, as most accounts reached zero years ago (read details).

❌ Logging is no longer possible. End of Service for the faucet was reached in 2019. This FAQ and domain is NOT connected to any live system or database.

Should I contact QoinPro?

Question
Should you contact QoinPro?

Can I login or reset my password

❌ No – Logins haven't been possible for years. This FAQ or domain is not connected to any live system or database.

Do I have a remaining balance?

❌ In nearly all cases balanced reached zero, following inactivity, and the historical off-chain fee structure.

Can I ask about an old transaction?

❌ No – historical support is no longer provided. On-chain transactions have a TXID that can be verified on block explorers.

Can I contact you through social media?

❌ No – all social media channels are inactive and unmonitored. The only message would be a pinned message linking to this FAQ.

Did I read the FAQ and found the answer?

❌ No – It's great you found the answer, but you should not contact QoinPro 😄

Did I read the entire FAQ but still have a question?

✅ You may send an e-mail, but replies are rare, support channels are monitored increasingly infrequently.

Status Per Year

This FAQ was launched in 2021 to answer remaining questions after QoinPro was discontinued. The domain, this FAQ and a few legacy support channels are only kept online to prevent impersonation and phishing (read more), but are NOT actively monitored.

The original website and platform have not been maintained or operational since reaching End of Service in 2019. See the timeline below for the status per year.

Archived Information

The micro-faucet QoinPro primarily operated from 2014 to 2017 and gave out fractional freebies ("The Freebies years") until 2018, and in some cases airdrops and airdrips in late 2019. Though this didn't apply to inactive (or dormant) accounts. There have been no developments since then.

Most accounts, estimated at (80%-90%) were closed in 2018 (read why) and more after discontinuation in 2020 (read why). Since then accounts closed automatically when the balance reaches zero or upon request.

Throughout the years and up to 2019, there were occasional reports of phishing sites trying to trick users into revealing their credentials (read more). To prevent others from impersonating or using the domain qoinpro.com, the domain (and this page) are maintained until further notice, but ONLY for that purpose. The faucet first reached End Of Service in 2018 and was discontinued in 2019. It is not coming back and logging in is no longer possible.

This FAQ primarily deals with questions relating to the faucet. People coming from former Support Desk URLs (pre-pandemic) are now redirected to this FAQ. Historic e-mails have since been deleted or fall under our retention policy.

Attempts at a knowledge sharing blog relating to the consequences of the pandemic, as well as a pivot to become DeFi centric didn't succeed and are not part of this FAQ.

Note: Direct support is no longer actively maintained. You can try to reach support while this FAQ is online, though answers are subject to delays. Please read the information on this page first before asking support. If you ask a question that is answered in this FAQ, you will NOT receive a reply.

Archived Summaries (2018-2024):

The following updates are preserved for historical reference only. They are no longer relevant, but remain archived in the interest of transparency.

2024 - Discontinued
  • If applicable, in rare cases, a monthly off-chain storage fee may continue to be applied to legacy accounts at the 1st of every month. This applies only to a statistically insignificant number of remaining accounts, as the overwhelming majority have already reached a zero balance in accordance with our retention and fee policy (see reasons and details).

2023 - Discontinued
  • If applicable, in rare cases, a monthly off-chain storage fee may be applied to legacy accounts at the 1st of every month (see reasons and details).

2022 - Discontinued
  • If applicable, in rare cases, a monthly off-chain storage fee may be applied to legacy accounts at the 1st of every month (see reasons and details).

2021 -Discontinued
  • If applicable, in rare cases, a monthly off-chain storage fee may be applied to legacy accounts at the 1st of every month (see reasons and details).

  • Internal efforts to pivot, potentially relaunch and become DeFi centric were discontinued permanently.

  • The information on this page is updated and maintained throughout 2021

2020 - Discontinued - Corona Pandemic
  • Briefly launched a blog to address the consequences of the corona pandemic worldwide, but this was discontinued for a variety of reasons (read more).

  • Efforts to add functionality such as exchanging, swaps or trading or become more DeFi centric were made and a waiting list was created, but never reached past the initial development state. Regulation and requirements surrounding the features was too complex and too expensive to launch either publicly or privately.

  • Fixed an unintended situation that still allowed for occasional sign-ups during Q1 of 2020 for the faucet (despite the micro-faucet being stopped). Logins became read-only at first and were later disabled as well. Faucet accounts were cleaned up further (read why).

2019 - Discontinued - End of Service
  • Discontinued accepting new airdrops / airdrips. A viable business model was not found despite attempts to experiment with Airdrops/Airdrips, the creation of a gamification API and resource allocation (earn through distributed computing) as well as trying to implement staking.

  • Sign-ups for the faucet are permanently discontinued late 2019 and all activity stopped - there are too many fake / bot accounts that are difficult to detect

  • Deposits for consolidations from other faucets are no longer accepted, deposit addresses are being retired

  • Discontinuing the listing of the (beta) mobile App in the beta program of Google's Play Store

  • Future updates are posted on the website, no longer in the Telegram group - The history of the Telegram group will remain available for as long as Telegram saves it and the messages are subject to a moderation policy.

2018 - Many Fake Faucet Accounts - Reaching End of Service
  • Added social login support in an attempt to thwart fake sign-ups and close most fake and active accounts.

  • Refactored codebase to an SPA to address scalability issues and mitigate DDOS traffic

  • Experiment with airdrops / airdrips to find a viable business model, but there is too much automation / exploitation

  • Considering to discontinue the faucet due to fake accounts still being created and no suitable business model being found

Additional Notes:

Unfortunately too many people tried to create fake accounts making the faucet unsustainable. QoinPro thus reached End-Of-Service first in 2018. A last attempt to address scalability issues, implement social logins, and catching fake faucet accounts was made in 2018, which resulted in the closure of most (fake and inactive) accounts Despite these changes, a viable business model was never found.

QoinPro thus gradually ceased operations in 2019, subsequently switched to read-only mode and discontinued the faucet permanently shortly after. Attempts afterwards to move faucet transactions on-chain failed, because the faucet transactions were too small.

All off-chain freebies were consolidated and any remaining storage subjected to off-chain fees (see details). Since most faucet accounts were only used to accumulate freebies, balances reached zero fairly quickly.

All on-chain addresses and on-chain functionality discontinued when QoinPro discontinued. Any subsequent transactions of positive balances are manual, only done in LTC (see reasons and details) and are subject to potential delays and/or procedures.
